Cute DIY Scarecrow Decoration {Free SVG}

I am so happy with this easy DIY Scarecrow Decoration made from Dollar Tree supplies! Use my free scarecrow SVG file to turn a dollar store charger plate into a cute Fall decoration you’ll love to display this year.

The cute scarecrow face SVG file is transferred onto a dollar store charger for an easy scarecrow. If you are artistic, you could copy the template with paint or a permanent marker if you do not have a Cricut machine.

This decoration is perfect for adding to a shelf or propping up on a countertop. Tuck it behind a pumpkin or other fall decorations. Or display it on an easel stand.

If you wanted to glue a hanger to the back of the plate, you could use it as a wreath. Just be sure to use a permanent bond adhesive, such as E6000, rather than hot glue. The hot glue won’t hold strongly on the shiny plastic surface.

For the scarecrow hair, I used a hula skirt from the Dollar Tree. However, any raffia will do. Especially if you have extra raffia from making my DIY Pumpkin Place Card Holders or these easy Fall Napkin Rings.

Be sure to see how I turned a Dollar Tree charger plate into faux enamelware wall decorations.

How to Make a Cute Scarecrow Face Decoration (Dollar Tree Craft)

Supplies

Instructions

Step 1

Cut two triangles out of the felt big enough to cover the top of the charger. Use the hot glue gun to glue the top two sides together to make a hat.

Flip up the bottom side of the hat to make a brim. Use hot glue to secure it in place.

Step 2

Glue the sunflower to one corner of the hat.

Step 3

Position the hat in place on top of the charger. Stuff the raffia into the hat, allowing the ends to hang out on the sides. Use the hot glue gun to secure the hat and the raffia in place on top of the charger.

Step 4

Upload the SVG into Design Space and resize it to fit on the charger. I made mine 5 inches tall.

Step 5

Place a piece of black vinyl on the cutting mat and load it into the Cricut.

Weld the design together and send it to the Cricut to cut.

Step 6

Remove the vinyl from the cutting mat and weed out the excess vinyl. Use a piece of transfer tape to transfer it to the front of the charger.
