Craft supplies on a wooden table, including a paper plate, pencil, plastic cauldron, scissors, glue gun, paint bottles, silver balls in a bowl, and foam balls in a bag.

Directions

Divide the white styrofoam balls into two baggies. Add purple paint to one bag and green paint to the other bag. Squeeze the paint throughout the bag until all of the styrofoam balls are covered.

Two bottles of acrylic paint, a small bowl of silver beads, and two plastic bags containing white foam balls are arranged on a wooden surface.

Put the painted balls onto a wax paper-lined tray. Allow them to dry.

Two groups of painted balls, one green and one purple, are drying on wax paper in a tray. Bottles of paint and a bowl of silver balls are in the background.

Trace the bottom of the mini cauldron on a paper plate or piece of cardboard. Cut the circle out.

A small black plastic cauldron is placed upside down on a white paper plate, with a pencil tracing around its base.

Place the circle into the top opening of the cauldron. You may need to insert the circle and position it underneath the lip of the cauldron, depending on the type of mini cauldron that you have.

A small black cauldron filled with white liquid sits on a wooden surface near scissors and three bowls of colorful candy balls—purple, green, and silver.

If you add a small slit on the edge of the circle it allows the piece to be placed more easily into the cauldron because you can bend the circle.

A hand holds a white circular piece of paper with a single straight cut, next to a pair of scissors on a wooden surface.

Add hot glue to each color styrofoam ball, doing one at a time and alternating colors, and attach the balls to the paper plate inside the cauldron. Hold each ball in place for a few seconds to allow the hot glue to set.

Keep stacking the styrofoam balls on top of each other and going down the side of the cauldron like it is bubbling over.
