DIY Valentine Gnome Bookmark

Supplies

• Free Valentine Gnome Bookmark Pattern
• Colored craft papers
• Craft glue or glue stick
• Pencil
• Sharpies or Markers
• Scissors

Directions

Step 1

Download, print and cut out the free gnome bookmark pattern. Choose the colors of craft paper that you would like for each pattern piece.

The gnome bookmark pattern includes templates for both a boy gnome and girl gnome. The pattern pieces include:

• Hat
• Body
• Shoes
• Nose
• Arms
• Heart
• Braid and head (girl gnome)
• Beard (boy gnome)

In this tutorial we will make the girl gnome.

Step 2

Glue the the braid cutouts on either side of the head.

Step 3

Glue the hat on top of the head, covering the tops of the braids.

Then attach the nose in the middle of the head, slightly overlapping the hat on the bottom side.

Step 4

Glue the shoes to the bottom of the body base, with the feet pointing outwards.

Then glue the heart onto the end of one of the arms.

Step 5

Glue the head to the top of the body.

Then glue the arms on either side of the body, attaching from the back.

Step 6

Using markers or Sharpies, add details such as buttons on the dress, pink around the nose and for cheeks, and a smile.

For the boy gnome, glue the pattern pieces together in a similar method. Instead of gluing braids on the head, you will glue a beard, instead.
