Mop Snowman Gnome

How to Make a Mop Snowman Gnome

Supplies

  • 8 Jumbo Craft Sticks
  • Wooden Snowflake
  • Cotton Mop Head
  • Iridescent Glitter Glue
  • One Clear Rhinestone
  • Acrylic Craft Paint (White, Black, Orange)
  • Hot Glue Gun or Craft Glue
  • Black and White Gingham Ribbon
  • Scissors
  • Paintbrush

Directions

Step 1

Line five jumbo craft sticks side by side. Using scissors, trim 2 additional jumbo craft sticks to the width of the snowman hat.. Glue the cut craft sticks across the five vertical sticks to secure together. Allow to dry.

Flip the hat over and glue one jumbo craft stick along the base of the hat to create the brim. Allow to dry.

Step 2

Paint the entire snowman’s hat with black acrylic craft paint.

Let dry, and apply a second coat, if needed.

Step 3

Paint a wooden snowflake with white acrylic craft paint.

Let dry, and apply a second coat, if needed.

Apply iridescent glitter glue to the surface of the snowflake.

Step 4

Trim a jumbo wooden craft stick into a three-inch long carrot shape with scissors.

Paint the carrot nose with orange paint.

Let dry, and apply a second coat, if needed.

Step 5

Cut approximately 24 individual strings from the cotton mop head.

Turn the snowman hat over and glue 12 cotton mop head strings along the base of the bottom wooden craft stick.

Then glue 12 additional cotton mop head strings on a second layer.

Step 6

Cut a six inch length of black and white gingham ribbon. Glue the ribbon hat band to the front, then secure the ribbon ends to the back of the hat.

Step 7

On the front of the hat, glue the carrot nose to the gnome beard.

Glue the wooden snowflake to the hat band.

Attach one rhinestone in the middle of the snowflake.
