How to Make a Bald Eagle Bookmark
Supplies
- Free Bald Eagle Bookmark Pattern
- Colored craft papers (We used browns, white, yellow and pink)
- 6 in X 6 in Square Piece of White Paper (15 cm x 15 cm)
- Scissors
- Craft glue
- Markers or Sharpies
Directions
Step 1
Download, print and cut out the bald eagle pattern.
Trace the pattern pieces on different colors of construction paper.
We used:
- Eagle Body and Large Wings: Light Brown Paper
- Small Wings: Dark Brown Paper
- Eagle Head: White Paper
- Feet and Beak: Yellow Paper
- Cheeks: Pink
Step 2
Glue the small wings on top of the large wings. Then glue the feet on the bottom of the body base.
Step 3
Glue the beak and the cheeks near the bottom part of the head.
Step 4
Glue a wing on each side of the body base, with the pointed end facing outwards.
Then glue the head on top of the body, overlapping the wings on the edges.
Step 5
Use a black sharpie to make the eyes outlines and then use a different color to fill the eyes, as seen in the photo below.
Step 6
Use a square piece of paper to make an origami corner bookmark. Here’s a good tutorial for how to fold the paper into a bookmark corner.
Step 7
Glue the eagle on the origami corner bookmark as seen in the photo below.
