Valentine Key To My Heart

DIY Valentines Day Key to My Heart Craft

All supplies, other than paint, are from the Dollar Tree.

The supplies list is for one Valentines Day Key.

Supplies

• Free Key to My Heart Pattern
• 2 Jumbo Craft Sticks
• 2 Regular Size Craft Sticks
• Craft Foam (White, Red, or Pink)
• 2 Felt Heart Stickers
• Hot Glue Gun or Craft Glue
• Acrylic Craft Paint (White, Red, or Pink)
• Paintbrush
• Scissors
• Adhesive Tape or Glue Stick

Directions

Step 1

For each key, line up two jumbo craft sticks side by side.

Using scissors, trim an additional jumbo craft stick to the width of the two side by side craft sticks. Glue it to the back to secure the sticks together..

Cut three regular craft sticks and glue to the back of the key as its “teeth”.

Step 2

Paint the key handles with your choice of white, red, or pink acrylic craft paint.

Then paint the “teeth” a contrasting color.

Allow to dry and apply a second coat, if needed.

Step 3

Download, print and cut out the Valentine Key printable.

Trace the heart shape on craft foam. Cut out the heart shapes.

Step 4

Layer a large and medium felt heart sticker on top of the craft foam heart. Mix and match the colors to personalize. 

Step 5

Glue the layered heart to the top of the handle of the key. Mix and match the colors as you would like.

Step 6

Cut out the Key to my Heart sayings. Glue one to each key using an adhesive tape strip or a glue gun.

Alternatively, you could write the saying on the Valentine key using a permanent marker.
