Ingredients
- White Box Cake Mix You can use any size box of white cake mix. You will also need the ingredients listed on the box to make the cake, which can vary but are usually eggs, oil and water.
- Strawberry Jello This is what will make the bloody-looking streaks in the cake. You could use a cherry, raspberry or watermelon Jello, too, but the coloring may look different.
- Cool Whip Our Halloween poke cake is frosted with Cool Whip, which will show off the bloody streaked icing better. You could use a traditional white frosting, if desired.
- Red Decorating Gel While optional, this topping really gives a creep look to this vampire cake. You will need several tubes of the red decorating gel which is different than gel food coloring. Do not use decorating frosting.
- Plastic Vampire Fangs These optional decorations make this vampire poke cake even more realistic, so get the plastic vampire teeth if you can!
