Vampire Poke Cake

A creepy vampire cake perfect for Halloween! This easy poke cake recipe uses a box cake mix.

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Prepare the box cake mix according to box directions.
  3. While the cake bakes, prepare the strawberry jello, according to the box directions.
  4. Let the finished cake and Jello to cool completely.
  5. Use a straw to poke holes into the cake. The carefully pour the Jello into the holes.
  6. Cover the cake and allow it to set in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  7. Frost the top of the cake with the Cool Whip, then decorate with the streaks of red gel frosting.
  8. If desired, cut 6 pairs of plastic vampire teeth in half, and top each piece of cake with one of the plastic teeth halves.
