Spring Bird Decoration (Dollar Tree DIY)

Don’t you just love using things in untraditional ways? That is why I love this bird candle warmer craft.

We turned a Dollar Tree candle warmer into a cute bird’s nest for the cutest Spring decoration.

Almost all of the supplies were found at the Dollar Tree. You can easily make this bird decoration for just a few dollars.

The bird’s nest and eggs are from Hobby Lobby, but I have seen similar items in dollar stores.

While this is a cute Spring decoration, it is also a perfect gift for a friend or a housewarming gift.

How to Make a Spring Bird Decoration with a Candle Warmer

Supplies

  • Candle Warmer
  • Twine
  • Spanish Moss
  • Bird
  • Faux Bird Eggs
  • Faux Bird’s Nest Nest
  • Twigs, berries, and florals
  • Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Instructions

Step 1

Add a handful of Spanish moss inside the base of the candle warmer.

Add a tiny nest on top of the Spanish moss.

Place two faux bird’s eggs inside the nest.

Step 2

Using a hot glue gun, glue another handful of Spanish moss to the top of the candle warmer.

Step 3

Glue the twigs, berries, and florals to the top of the Spanish moss on top of the candle warmer.

Then glue the bird on top of the twigs and florals.

Add a flower to the inside of the base of the candle warmer, as well as a few berries.

Wrap the twine around the neck of the candle warmer a few times and tie a bow.
