The great thing about this Samoa truffles recipe is that it is so easy to make! No baking is needed. You can easily stir up the ingredients and make homemade truffles in less than an hour.
Package these truffles in a pretty gift tin with waxed paper in between each layer.
Samoa Truffles Recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups shredded coconut
- 2 ½ crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 can dulce de leche (13.4 oz.)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz.)
- 6 squares melting chocolate
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Spread coconut out on the baking sheet. Brown in the oven for 10 minutes.
In a large mixing bowl add the toasted coconut, vanilla wafers, dulce de leche, and condensed milk. Stir together until well incorporated.
Using a cookie scoop, scoop balls of the mixture onto parchment paper.
Freeze for 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate squares in the microwave, using the package instructions as a guide for how long to microwave.
Dip the bottom of each truffle in the melted chocolate.
Then drizzle melting chocolate across the top of each truffle.
Store in an air-tight container for up to 3 days.
