Swirled Easter Cake Recipe
Prep: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 22 minutes
Yields: 12 servings
Ingredients
- 1 boxed vanilla cake mix
- 3 eggs
- ⅓ cup oil
- 1 cup water
- Pastel food coloring (I used pink, green and purple; I used liquid, not gel)
- Vanilla frosting
- Easter Sprinkles

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cake pan and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl add the cake mix, eggs, oil, and water. Whisk the ingredients until well combined.

Remove half of the cake mixture, then split that portion into 3 small bowls.

Pour the other half of the cake mixture into the prepared cake pan.
Place 2 to 3 drops of a pastel color in each small bowl of cake mix. Mix each bowl of food coloring and cake mixture until well incorporated and no color streaks.

Spoon each colored cake mix into the pan on top of the uncolored mixture.

Take a butter knife and swirl all of the colors together in a random pattern.

Bake for 22-25 minutes or until golden brown on top.

Once the cake is completely cooled, frost with vanilla frosting. Then scatter Easter sprinkles on top.
