Ingredients

  • 1 boxed vanilla cake mix
  • 3 eggs
  • ⅓ cup oil
  • 1 cup water
  • Pastel food coloring (I used pink, green and purple; I used liquid, not gel)
  • Vanilla frosting
  • Easter Sprinkles
Baking ingredients arranged on a white surface include eggs, sprinkles, food coloring, oil, flour, sugar, and vanilla extract.

Directions

Pour the other half of the cake mixture into the prepared cake pan.

Place 2 to 3 drops of a pastel color in each small bowl of cake mix. Mix each bowl of food coloring and cake mixture until well incorporated and no color streaks.

Three bowls of colored cake batter—red, green, and purple—are arranged in a triangle. A spoon is placed in the red batter bowl.
