Cozy Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail

With warming flavors of spiced apple cider and apple whiskey, our Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail is a cozy alcoholic drink for fall gatherings, Halloween or Thanksgiving dinner.

This Fall cider cocktail is quick to make and easy to enjoy! It is a crowd favorite for parties, but it is also the perfect drink to enjoy for an intimate evening beside the fire in autumn or winter.

A glass of apple cider garnished with apple slice, cinnamon sticks, and rosemary, with a sugared rim, sits on a wooden surface next to loose cinnamon sticks.

This is just one of our many Fall cocktail recipes using apple cider. Some other great recipes are Quick and Easy Apple Cider Mimosa, and Apple Pie Cocktail.

Ingredients

The full list of ingredients is in the recipe card below, but here are some substitutions you could make if desired:

  • Jim Beam Apple Bourbon Whiskey Any apple flavored whiskey will work, but Jim Beam is among the most popular and easy to find. We personally love the Evan Williams Apple Whiskey, too, after visiting their production facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
  • Apple Cider You can use bottled apple cider or make your own crock pot apple cider. Just don’t substitute apple juice, it won’t taste the same.
  • Olive Oil This is just to get the cinnamon sugar to stick to the glass. You could use another type of oil with mild flavor, or use a light corn syrup instead.

How to Make an Apple Cider Bourbon Cocktail

Coat the rim of a glass with olive oil.

Mix the cinnamon and sugar together on a plate. Then dip the rim of the glass in the sugar mixture to coat evenly.

An upside-down glass rim is coated in cinnamon sugar on a black plate with apple slices, rosemary, and cinnamon sticks. Apple juice carton in background.

Add the liquids into the glass and stir. Top with garnishes, if desired.
