Quick and Easy Apple Cider Mimosa (Perfect Thanksgiving Cocktail!)

This easy Apple Cider Mimosa uses just two ingredients and can be made in less than 2 minutes! It is a perfect Thanksgiving cocktail!

Two champagne flutes filled with a light drink, garnished with apple slices, rosemary sprigs, and cinnamon sticks, set on a table with apples and a green cloth.

Of course, these comforting flavors of autumn can be served at any Fall party (just like our Apple Pie Cocktail with Fireball). From bridal showers and wedding receptions to birthdays or Friendsgiving, this apple and cinnamon cocktail is a crowd favorite and relatively inexpensive party drink. Or, just make a couple glasses for an intimate and quiet night for two at home!

Ingredients to Use

There are only two ingredients for this alcoholic drink. And both can be modified to your preference and budget.

  • Champagne is the fancy choice, but you can substitute with a sparkling wine, cava or Prosecco. Choose a “dry” or “Brut” sparkling wine for the best flavor combination. The taste might be slightly different depending on the type of sparkling wine or moscato that you choose, but the price will be significantly less per serving.
  • Sparkling Apple Cider adds more bubbles to the cocktail and has a lighter color. You can substitute regular apple cider (our Crockpot Apple Cider would be great), but the color will be darker and the drink will be less fizzy.
Two bottles, one labeled "André Spumante California Sparkling Wine" and the other "Martinelli's Gold Medal Sparkling Cider," are placed side by side with apples and greenery around them.

How to Make an Apple Cider Mimosa

It is so easy to make this party drink you will wonder why you haven’t done it before!

Pour the champagne into a fluted glass. Then top with the sparkling apple cider.

A brass jigger pours sparkling wine into a champagne flute, with another filled flute, a bottle, and fruit in the background.

Add garnishes to make it pretty and add some flavor complexity, if you would like. And all of these garnishes are also used in our non-alcoholic Autumn Harvest Punch, so you could make both with the same ingredients!

Let’s face it, the garnishes bring this easy cocktail up to the next level and make you look like a superstar!

  • Apple slices are the perfect seasonal garnish.
  • Cinnamon sticks will lend a little bit of a spicy flavor.
  • Rosemary sprigs make the drink pretty.

That’s it!

While this is a great cocktail recipe for a crowd, do not make it into a punch or prepare too far in advance. The bubbles will loose their fizz and the mimosa just won’t be the same.
